The year is 2005, and a young Taiwanese man named Eason and his partner Becky embark on their dream to open a taro dessert business. It is from humble beginnings in Taiwan’s Yunlin Dounan Market where the young couple open their first stall, and from a grandma vendor in Jiufen where they are taught the art of making taro balls.
In 2015 Eason and Becky opened their first brick and mortar store, and by 2021 the Taro Yuan brand grew to 140 in Taiwan, defying all odds, especially that of the pandemic.
Their success story, recently marked by 500 million Taro Balls sold to date, has transformed a dream into a thriving franchise success. Now in 2024, our Australian leads Joe and Nikki have come together to add a new chapter to Taro Yuan legacy - Taro Yuan is coming down under to excite the taste buds of Aussie foodies on the hunt for the next flavour adventure!
